life = ours, life = decisions, decisions = ours ?

decisions. they are definitely part of our everyday lives and pretty much constitute it. we have to make simple decisions like what we are going to eat, what to wear, and tougher decisions like which university to go or whether to marry that special someone. obviously, sometimes we are not given the power of deciding for ourselves. we have to obey our parents, maybe we are obligated to someone and thus have to abide by their decision. so if life is all about decisions, and life is ours, why can't we make our own decisions at times?
